Although some adults would rather clean the gutters than lounge around with a nonfiction book, the same is NOT true of kids. Why do you suppose that is?I'll tell you: It's because kids KNOW they still have a lot to learn, and because they have a lot of questions. Non-fiction books answer those questions, and I've seen kids from toddlers to teens spend incredible amounts of time with reference books for children. They are literally fascinated with them, and with the new things they discover between the covers of these books!
