Little Things Again: Pinback Buttons

More Little Things! This time, it's all kinds of pinback buttons. No matter what kind of a button you want, chances are yyou can find it on Zazzle. The artists there seem to have every angle covered. Some of them, like the Black and White Palm Tree Yin Yang by LoraSeverson, manage to say something without a single word. Others celebrate a specail moment or accomplishment, like the one MaryRussell made showing the cover of her newly published book, Flickertail and Paint, Barnyard Sleuths.

Some have pretty posies on them,
and some are pretty political.

The lovely Lilacs at left are on a button called Old Fashioned Lilacs, from Organic Gifts by Diana. The Silent Majority - Silent No More button is by WePeople.

Special events, days, or times are commemorated by still other buttons from the artists of Zazzle.

Having a party for someone's birthday? How about some personalized Name Pin Button Birthday Party favor with the honoree's name printed on them, and a space to write on the guest's name with a sharpie? You can get those - as well as the ones for kids with the age featured - at KJsInvitations.

Going on a Cruise? Make getting aquainted with your shipmates just a little easier by wearing a personalized Cruise name pin from CruiseReady on Zazzle. There, you'll find numerous designs to choose from, including the AHOY Personalized Name Badge shown at right, that comes in both round and square shapes.

And, if you can't find something that is just right for what you may have in mind, iust remember, that at Zazzle, you always have the option to MAKE YOUR OWN.

More Little Things: Magnets

I received some really nice feedback on my last post, titled "Little Things Can Mean a Lot." So, I thought I would highlight a few more little things this time. Fair warning... some are mine. But, some are not. Enjoy!

Apparently, these little things are all the rage at some shools this year. The kids are collecting them to display on the inside of their locker doors, and they come in an almost infinate variety of designs. My friend, Shelly, has been very busy designing lots and lots of them over at her Zazzle site, KJ's Creations. Here are some samples:

Masterpiece Magnets

Now, Materpiece Magnets are my brainchild. But the magnets themselves (at TropiCards) are NOT the masterpieces. Instead, they are meant to be used in displaying the masterpieces of your kids, grandkids, or whomever. They come in styles for holding artwork, school papers, awards, or just to use by themselves as a way to recognize an accomplishment. Some are customizable with the child's name and accomplishment. Here are several of them:

Save the Date Magnets
Save the Date Magnets are big for up coming wedings, but Ii've heard of them being used for other impirtant dates, as well. these particular ones are from another friend, Lora Severson, who is quite a prolific designer at Zazzle. Most her magnets feature her excellent photography, and others have nice graphical designs. Have a look at some of them!

All of the above custom magnet designs are produced by Zazzle, so you can rest assured of their professional quality printing. You can even order just one, even the personalized ones, and discounts start at just 10 magnets

Little Things Can Mean a Lot

How many times have you heard, "It's the thought that counts?" Well, thoughts really DO count. If there's someone you've been thinking of, let them know with a thoughtful little gift. When you give or send someone something unexpected just to let them know you are thinking of them, little things really DO mean a lot. Something little can truly make someone's day.

So, here are several little things... two that really say 'I care,' and one little thing that could mean a lot to you under certain circumatances.

First... for someone you love, this little item that I just found out about in the last couple of days is a real treasure. It's called a HIDE A HEART. To surprise someone you love, hide the little glass heart in a secret place and create positive communication for nearly every age group. Let HIDE A HEART become your 'perpetual love note'. It's available from Glass Hearts by Hide a Heart and comes in several other varieties besides the one pictured here. Now, isn't that just the sweetest idea ever?

When was the last time you recieved a greeting card, just out of the blue, for no particular reason, except that someone thought enough of you to send it? Didn't it bring a smile to your face? When was the last time you sent one? Now might be a good time. Make it extra special by choosing a fully customizable thinking of you card from TropiCards on Zazzle, perhaps customizing it with the recipient's name on the front, and composing an inside message from YOU, not some greeting card verse-writer. And for a really nice touch, choose a matching magnet so your friend or loved one can easily display it on their fridge.

Lastly here's a little something that might make a big difference to you one day. It did to me and my husband during Tropical Storm Fay, when we had no power - and no air conditioning - for an extended period of time. At times like that, when you're sweltering, a little thing like a battery-operated personal mini-fan can really mean a lot. They don't look like it, but they can actualy generate enough cool air to make a difference! They're available in both white and red, at Cruise Ready Store.
