Kids LOVE Nonfiction Books

Although some adults would rather clean the gutters than lounge around with a nonfiction book, the same is NOT true of kids.  Why do you suppose that is?

I'll tell you:  It's because kids KNOW they still have a lot to learn, and because they have a lot of questions.  Non-fiction books answer those questions, and I've seen kids from toddlers to teens spend incredible amounts of time with reference books for children.  They are literally fascinated with them, and with the new things they discover between the covers of these books!

Need some ideas for a gift for a child?  How about a nonfiction book for kids?  Chances are pretty darned good they'll love it.  Here are a couple of pages with some specific recommendations by age group:

Nonfiction Books for Kids - Reference Books for Ages 4 to 8

Nonfiction Books for Kids - Reference Books for Ages 9 to 12

Kids Gifts - Ages 6 to 12

Here are some ideas for children in the general 6 to 12 year old age range. As with the other lists, this one is a work in progress, and other great items will be added as we find them, so keep checking back.
